When we started The List We Love one of the things we really wanted to do was bring our members unique, sophisticated products at a great price. We wanted to feature items you would want to use all the time. But when we can also bring you products that have a great mission attached, we get excited.
Boutique Mexico was started by Jennifer Olson, a woman who saw a need to bridge the gap between Mexican artisans and a global market that would love their handmade items. This was a project that was personal and one she was passionate about because even though Jennifer spent many years in the United States, she grew up in Mexico and later returned to the country to live.
According to Jennifer, "Boutique Mexico celebrates the native crafts of Mexico and the artists that produce them, enabling them and their communities to rise above poverty and achieve economic stability. We establish equitable collaborative partnerships with our artisans who are fairly paid and whose opinions matter as members of the team. Boutique Mexico is dedicated to creating products of superior quality and modern design. We believe in across the board prosperity as a result of mutual respect and cooperation; we believe in sustainability, in doing good and in being grateful."
All Boutique Mexico products are 100% artisan-made, making them original pieces of art. They have partnerships with artisans in Guerrero, Hidalgo, Puebla, Chiapas, and Oaxaca.
